Our Balanced Approach

Software, Evaluations & Outreach

Database administration, web development and software enhancements are time consuming and expensive. That’s were the bulk of our monetary investment goes.

Once those things are covered, we focus our efforts on outreach, which naturally results in new member applications.

Each new member application takes approximately 12 hours to process. After receiving the evaluation, we must review the business, investigate their green efforts, communicate with them directly and write their profile for the Green Service Finder website.

We’ve approximated our average annual expenditures based on our annual membership contributions. Our target budget for outreach is 8%, which must be balanced in accordance with our other obligations.

The Rainy Day Fund is the excess buffer that we maintain in order to ensure that we can cover our obligations and outreach activities. Oftentimes, that money rolls over into the following year.

Who owns Green Service Finder?

Green Service Finder is owned by Advanced Web Ventures LLC, which is a United States technology company that develops software and applications.

How long have you been operational?

The new website domain was originally purchased in 2016. Later, in 2020, the old website domain was phased out and the new website was finally put in place.

Is this a non-profit organization?

No. Green Service Finder is a common Limited Liability Corpration. We’ve considered making it a non-profit, but the costs and reporting requirements would be a large burden. If GSF grows to have a large enough membership to hire full-time compliance staff, we’ll absolutely migrate to Non-Profit status.

How many employees do you have?

We have 3 freelancers that manage the workload on an ongoing basis. Although we’d love to hire full-time staff, we currently don’t have the membership size to support full-time workers. Most of our work is project based. When we have large enough membership pool, we’ll hire remote staff.
